Yummy Honey Oatmeal Flapjacks

yummy-honey-oatmeal-flapjacks

Normally flapjacks are made with golden syrup, however, these yummy honey oatmeal flapjacks are way healthier but don’t compromise on taste. They are so simple to make, I even enlisted the help of my 4 year old who loves baking. They were fun to make and got scoffed down quickly, they never last very long!

As a child we loved making and eating flapjacks. They are oatmeal biscuits that are soft and chewy and totally scrumptious. I don’t know anyone who doesn’t like flapjacks!

Here is the recipe and hope you enjoy as much as we do –

Yummy Honey Oatmeal Flapjacks

These tasty oatmeal flapjacks are made with honey instead of golden syrup so they are healthier than the original version but taste just as good! Simple to make and quick to whip up.

We love making these yummy honey oatmeal flapjacks in our house. We often give them as gifts too so a great idea as last minute gifts when presented in a nice tin. I would line the inside with some baking paper as they can be a little sticky sometimes. They should keep for a week to ten days in an airtight container or tin.

You can always add dried fruit such as cranberries, apricots, dates and raisins etc. Feel free to add in some nuts too, such as pecans, walnuts, pistachios, etc. Let me know if you try these and which are your fave variations. Comfort food at its finest!

This is a fun recipe to make with kids as it is really simple and the kids love them. You can even add in chocolate chips if you like.
