Today I am sharing my two favourite pasta dishes. I prefer creamy pasta to tomato and these are my go-to recipes. They are simple and quick to make creamy pasta dishes that will keep you coming back for more.
Try them out for yourself and see how scrumptious they are. You can add more or less pasta or cream, depending how creamy you like your pasta. You can also add water to the cream to make it lower calorie. Taste as you go along to see how you like it. These 15 minute meals take only 5 mins to prep and 10mins to cook!
You can also add in more garlic as you like. I always have these items in my house and remember to get them when grocery shopping since I know I will be cooking these! Save these recipes and see.
Mushroom, Bacon, Onion and Garlic Pasta
This easy to make pasta is yummy and made in no time! A classic favourite of mine.
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 5 or 6 large button white mushrooms
- 1 medium onion
- 200 grams penne or similar pasta
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 dash cracked black pepper
- 4 slices bacon, chopped into small pieces
- 1 clove garlic, peeled and chopped well
- 100 mls cream
Instructions
-
Chop the mushrooms into bite size pieces and finely chop the onion.
Put the pasta on to boil. Follow instructions on the pack.
-
Heat 1 tbsp of olive oil in a large frying pan on a low-medium heat.
-
Add in the mushrooms and onion
-
When the onions are transparent and mushrooms are cooked, add in the bacon.
-
Add in the garlic once the bacon is browning slightly.
-
Once the garlic is done, add in the cream and simmer. Stir well.
-
Add a dash of cracked pepper and remove from the heat.
-
Pasta should be done around the same time so remove from the heat and strain.
-
Add the pasta to a large dish or directly onto plates. Use a serving spoon to top with your creamy sauce.
-
Voila! Enjoy 🙂
Recipe Notes
You can make this vegetarian by removing the bacon. You could replace the bacon with courgette/zucchini.
