Check out this Summers Trends by Maxine Twigg
As we’re in the midst of summer, I’ve created a style guide for some of the biggest trends of the season. If you’re going on holiday without the slightest idea of what to wear, look no further! Let me know which trend you’ll be rocking throughout the summer months!
Utilitarian Chic
Over the past seasons we’ve seen a spike in uniform/work wear inspired designs on the runway. For summer the utilitarian look has a more streamlined structure going for a minimalistic touch. You can channel this by incorporating khaki, olive greens and simple pieces into your wardrobe.
Banker Stripes
Continuing with the work wear theme, these traditional linear stripes are the summer staple you need in your closet! The banker stripes are revamped to work on off shoulder dresses to wide leg trousers. With embroidered embellishments and frill detailing this trend is perfect for the office (or outside the office!)
Island Blend
Mismatched patterns, colorful layers, embroidered details, and ruffles! This look gives you the freedom to play around with unconventional pieces and create a truly unique look.
Sail into Summer
It’s all about transparency
This is another trend that creates endless possibilities for layering in the summer months! Pair a sheer blouse over different pieces for entirely new looks! If you aren’t feeling bold enough for the see-through trend, go subtle with tulle detailing or transparent shoes!
