Choose Love this Christmas and Help Refugees

Choose Love is the first online shop designed to help refugees. It was set up in 2015 for Help Refugees by Katharine Hamnett.

When you purchase an item there, a similar item is then purchased for a refugee in need.

Here is an excerpt from their website –

We are Help Refugees. Founded in 2015 by a small group of friends, in just two years we have grown to become one of the most prominent humanitarian aid organisations working directly with refugees and migrants in Europe and beyond.

Responding to urgent need rapidly, and acting where large INGOs can’t or won’t, we now support over 80 different projects and have helped over 600,000 people across 10 countries.

It is a great way to give something back this Christmas.

A lot of money is spent needlessly at this time of year and it is often on presents that go unused or are discarded unfortunately.

A lot of people buy the same gifts every year such as scented candles and bath sets etc. which are usually something people will already have.

Items such as food, jackets, boots and baby grows are a few of the practical items available. They all make someone better.

The great thing is that by buying from the shop, the person you give the gift to knows their gift really helped someone.

It is a wonderful gift that keeps on giving and it also helps to teach youngsters to give to others more in need.

Here’s how it works –

When you make a purchase from the store or a contribution, it pays for a similar item including transport and distribution to a refugee/refugees in one of the following countries : Bangladesh, Croatia, France, Greece, Italy, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Serbia, Turkey and the UK.

If there happen to be more sales of one item than others, they will simply evaluate what is needed by those refugees and the full amount of your purchase value will be spent on other needed items.

Just in case you needed any more convincing…
