The inventor of the 10 minute folding flat pack home is David Martin, an architect inspired by the price of rentals in London and how much the rising costs were effecting his kids. He spotted a lorry carrying a home one day and began masterminding the idea.
They are now in production and it has taken 7 years and £4,000,000 to develop and patent. There have been 6 prototypes and 4 engineers, including Rowan Zarkov, the lead engineer of the prototype.
So far there are patents in England, Europe, China and Canada. 3,000 houses have been ordered in South Africa for social housing projects.

The 10 minute flat pack house, Ten Fold can be bought for only £100,000.
Another flat pack house on the market is M.A.Di. It can be bought for as little as £24,800 and takes only 6 hours to build. It is earthquake resistant and eco friendly. The cheapest model is 290 square feet and the 904 square foot option comes in at £54,900.
