Here are some date ideas to rekindle that spark in your relationship. Who doesn’t love a bit of romance? It is easy to forget to spend time on yourselves but it is important to keep the fire burning so here are some cool things you can do together for inspiration!
1 Arrange a day or night off together and plan to do something nice that you both love. Here are some examples –
- Go to the cinema and buy lots of munchies to share
- Go to a cocktail bar and dress up in your fancy clothes
- Go to a dance lesson such as salsa or hiphop
- Play mini golf, snooker or bowling
- Go to your fave restaurant for dinner
- Go to a nightclub and dance together
- Go out to somewhere pretty with a nice view for a picnic
- Go to some botanical gardens
- Go to an art exhibition
- Go to the theatre
- Go to the beach or a lake
- Take a boat trip
- Go on a day trip/train journey
2 Surprise each other with one partner choosing the venue one time and the other the next. That way you both have to decide what the other will love. It might be fun!
3 Arrange a BBQ or cocktail bar at home and dress up for your date. One can arrange the drinks and the other the food.
4 Cook dinner together. Decide on a new recipe to try or an old favourite and help each other prepare it. You can go shopping for the ingredients together too at a market maybe.
5 Go to the place where you had your first date or met and take photos for memories, then add them to a photo album later.
6 For a nice evening in, make a cheese platter and have a bottle of wine or drinks of choice and set up a cosy area with some music or your fave movie to watch.
7 Make a list of date night ideas you both like the idea of and write down 10 each, add them to a jar or container and pick one out randomly, taking turns each week. That is 20 ideas to keep up momentum for dates.
8 Stay in and make a playlist of your fave songs together then save it as your couples playlist. Can use for future date nights.
9 Get some holiday brochures and tear out your fave places to visit. Choose the best, then start saving towards it!
10 Go for a romantic walk and grab your fave ice cream or coffee. Enjoy each others company alone and have some laughs.
Ps. If neither of you can cook, or don’t feel like the bother, check out Uber Eats and get your fave food delivered to your door!
