Most Harry Potter fans would love a Harry Potter holiday. Here is just the thing – a London guide for fans, featuring all things Harry Potter. It’s not just for kids you know!
Harry Potter Warner Bros Studio Tour, London.
Opened in order to celebrate the making of Harry Potter and the extraordinary talent that goes into making major movies, the studio walking tour is an absolute must-see for Harry Potter fans! Go behind the scenes and visit the sets, see the props and view the costumes for a truly enchanting experience. Take a once in a lifetime visit to the famous Great Hall, Diagon Alley, Ministry of Magic, Dumbledore’s Office, Gryffindor Common Room and Boys’ Dormitory. Other attractions include a 1:24 scale model of Hogwarts Castle as well as Hagrid’s Hut. A spell-binding tour that you will never forget!

The Cauldron Cocktail Bar
Grab a wizards robe and some potions to have the most fun cocktail making experience ever! Use a cauldron to brew up your own concoctions in this magical new venue in the Elephant and Castle, London. Wave your magic wand and its bubble bubble, toil and trouble with colour-changing an smoking concoctions! Not officially associated with Harry Potter but we are seeing the connection eh?

The Harry Potter themed hotel – Georgian House
This family run boutique hotel has a Harry Potter themed Wizards Enchanted Chambers full of magic and marvel. With its stained glass windows, stone walls, archways, trunks, cauldrons, and four-poster beds hung with velvet curtains, you will be transported to the magical world of Hogwarts. Wood burning stoves, curious artefacts, cauldrons in fireplaces and tapestries complete the look. Sounds fantastic!

Harry Potter walking tour, Trafalgar Square
Harry Potter Bus Tour of London

The trolley on the platform for photo opps!

Giant Harry Potter Wands lit up at St Paul’s Cathedral
October to Millennium bridge from 18th – November 13th. From 6.45 – 10.45 a light show and music display every 40 mins. Standing 15feet tall, they mark the upcoming launch of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. A special new theme will be launched called “Wizarding Wednesdays”, which will include a variety of magical activities for Harry Potter fans. Every Wednesday people can take part in wand training or watch a spellbinding live performance of music from the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts films – by a marching military band (November 7). It is also to help to raise awareness for J.K. Rowling’s charity, Lumos, whose mission is to end the institutionalisation of children around the world.

The Escape Room, near Liverpool Street
Enigma Quest is an escape room with a distinct Harry Potter feel to it.
Enigma Quests website states that you will have to defeat dark forces before you are able to leave the room. “This is not an easy task, and will require you to be focused as never before. Your team will face obstacles and tests requiring cooperation and some bravery. Remember, every minute counts!”

Leadenhall Market, where the Diagon Alley scenes were filmed.

So I hope you get to go on a Harry Potter holiday if you are in London. Any of the above are worth doing, if not all of them! I know what I will be doing if I am visiting London. The whole family can enjoy this, in fact anyone would enjoy the magic of Harry Potter. Prepare to be spellbound!
Ps all the Harry Potter movies are available on Netflix now. Obsessed! Also, if you are a Harry Potter die-hard fan, you will probably be interested in this subscription box. *(Affiliate link)

November 14, 2018 at 2:34 pmI love Harry Potter. In all honesty, I wish I could become a wizard. I think I would be a great one. But this is awesome. I’m almost certain adults will love this just as much as kids would. Never been to London but when and if I do, I’m sure going here. Great post.

November 14, 2018 at 4:28 pmThis would be an amazing trip and an unforgettable experience! Last summer we took our kids to universal studios Hollywood for the Harry Potter World and I was a little disappointed. It wasn’t as magical as I was hoping. This trip that you took looks amazing! Sign me up for the next one!
