The Glossybox birthday edition 2019 is a fab collection of quality products and an absolute bargain! This birthday edition is the French one, as I am living in France and I am so far amazed with the contents.

If you sign up for Glossybox you can get a discount on your first box here, there are different months subscriptions to choose from – the longer you sign up for the better value. However, if you want to hedge your bets you can always just grab a one-off box as you go along! Either way, I doubt you will be disappointed.
I have been so impressed with Glossybox so far, it is definitely the best value for money subscription I can think of for beauty products. The quality of the products is top class and I get to try out brands that I wouldn’t normally afford on my regular beauty budget.
I love trying before buying so this subscription box is an ideal way to do that. They often include eyeshadow palettes, expensive full size makeup items and high end hair and skincare products. I mean, what is not to love about that?!!
On average I spend 15 euro a month and end up with around £60 plus worth of products. This months Glossybox birthday edition 2019 was definitely one of my fave boxes. It is beautifully packaged in sparkly pink packaging and glittery stuff. It genuinely felt like my birthday when it arrived!
I had no idea what to expect with the Glossybox birthday edition as I wasn’t able to find any spoilers but they did announce one spoiler on the main website and that was the Huda Beauty lip liner. It looked to be a great colour for me, a rich mahogany but not too dark. I have it on me today actually, it is a very easy to use, soft pencil with excellent staying power and perfect precision.
I have never owned a Huda Beauty product before but I would definitely consider purchasing from the brand now. I can see what all the fuss is about. The lipliner retails at £16 sterling online so already covers the price of the box and more. Cha-ching!
Next high-end product that caught my eye in the box is the Grow Gorgeous Thickening Hair & Scalp Mask. I know the hair brand is expensive as I have looked them up before and basically it was out of my price range! So naturally I was delighted to see another expensive item in there to try. My hair is in dire need of some TLC so I was keen to give it a go. It smells absolutely divine by the way…
I was intrigued to see a little eyeshadow palette in there, by Bang Beauty. By some stroke of luck, the colours are right up my street and something I would probably go for anyway. This girl loves eyeshadow and playing with colours so I was really happy to have another eyeshadow palette and I love the mini size so I can carry it with me in my bag or on hols. Loving these daytime colours and they will be perfect for Autumn.
I am a huge fan of natural skincare so yet again, I was in luck! The next product in the Glossybox birthday edition is Marilou Bio Day Cream with aloe and jojoba. I use this every day and I will definitely repurchase it again. It feels great, is nourishing and goes well under makeup. Nuff said!
Honestly, this is the gift that keeps on giving! Next up, The Body ShopPink Grapefruit Body Yogurt. This one smells like I just bathed in fresh grapefruit and am sipping a pink grapefruit cocktail on a beach. It really packs a punch and the scent lingers but isn’t overpowering. I love putting this on, it smells like summer holidays and I know I smell gorgeous haha.
Who here loves beach wavy hair? Well I always notice my hair looks better after swimming in the sea. The next product in the box is Sea Water Hair Spray and it also smells lovely. My 4 year old adores this spray and keeps asking me to spray her hair with it. She has the same unruly curls as me and it does give some definition so yep, we approve!
Finally, the Original Source 100% natural Creamy Vanilla and Raspberry shower cream. Well, as mentioned before I adore natural skincare so a big thumbs up to this! I have been using soap for the last while but I am really happy to have a nice shower cream for a change and it smells good enough to eat.
A huge round of applause for Glossybox birthday edition 2019, it surpassed all my expectations. The 2 extra products in the box were a lovely surprise and all products are things I will look forward to using for sure. Excited for what next months box will surprise me with! 🙂
