We decided to visit the famous bridge over the river Kwai and the Death Railway, Thailand when we were staying in Bangkok a few years back.
I highly recommend a trip to Erawan Falls if you are staying in Thailand. It is a beautiful place with 7 tiers of spectacular waterfalls. A moderate hike with swimming allowed.
