So impressed with my fave curly hair subscription box as usual. The Curls Allowed November Edition was fab. The products were all from well-known brands in the curly hair industry, so I was really happy to sample them as I love to try before buying. The samples are a good size and there were 2 full size products included so it’s great value for money too.
The products were all CG (Curly Girl) safe. If you happen to follow the CG method then this box is ideal. Starting this year they will have CG friendly products available bi-monthly. You can purchase one-off boxes or sign up for longer to save money. If you are happy to try out the non-CG friendly boxes then a monthly subscription would suit you. Either way, you can avail of a top selection of trending products as well as popular and classic old faves at a lower price. For me it is ideal, since my hair is hard to manage and a lot of products don’t work so well.
I wasted a lot of money over the years buying so many curly hair ‘miracle products’ only to find they didn’t suit my hair type. I have been really impressed with the Curls Allowed curly hair subscription box so far and have found some absolute holy grail products at last! I love when my box arrives and I get to try out new products that help me tame my unruly mane. I never run out of products nowadays as I usually have a nice new conditioner, hair mask, cream or gel to try out. It has helped me discover top products that I would never have known about or bought otherwise so I am delighted about that.
Anyway, here is what the Curls Allowed November Edition included –
Shea Moisture Fruit Fusion Coconut Water Weightless Hair Mask. Full size 340g. This product is a lovely whipped butter texture and is really light, like a mousse. It smells divine and glides on easily. I use it in the shower and saturate the hair from root to tip, then leave it in for around 5 mins before rinsing it out. It is a lovely hydrating mask and it nourishes the hair. It is vitamin rich and infused with Imbe oil, Lychee berry and Dragonfruit. Green apple extract helps smooth frizz and make the hair shiny. It detangles and makes it more manageable so a great mask to use once or twice a week.
Matrix Biolage HydroSource Conditioner, 50ml. A gorgeous smelling conditioner with Aloe vera and passionfruit that replenishes hair and leaves a lovely silky feel. It detangles easily and hydrates well. I noticed more springy coils in my hair and it felt really healthy afterwards. Thumbs up to that!
Eco Style Gold Olive Oil, Shea Butter, Black Castor Oil and Flaxseed gel. Full size 227g. I had heard great things about the Eco Style range and all of those ingredients are ideal for curly hair. I love olive oil, shea butter and flaxseed gel and I had been wanting to try black castor oil for a while since reading reviews online. It promotes hair growth and helps repair hair. It helps define curls and gives great hold. It also helps tame flyaway hairs and tames curls. It definitely gave some extra shine too so a great healthy all-rounder. Smells lovely too. Yay!!
Giovanni Direct Leave-in Conditioner Weightless Moisture, 50ml. So last but not least, this little gem of a product is working wonders for my curls! It moisturises without feeling greasy and its lightweight. It gives my curls definition and bounce. It looks healthier, sleeker and has more defined curls now. Holy grail product for sure! I am definitely sticking with this one. Love it.
So those were the fab contents of the Curls Allowed November edition. If you are considering a curly hair subscription box I highly recommend this one. It really is brilliant!
