The Ordinary Skincare Review
The Ordinary skincare brand has definitely blown up this year and it’s easy to see why. The ingredients are amazing quality, the price is the best I’ve ever seen for these types of ingredients and the brand is completely cruelty-free.
I’m even going to make a very bold statement and say The Ordinary skincare is the best skincare brand out there at the moment and I really do love my skincare.
The Ordinary skincare is owned by the parent brand DECIEM and every brand they own including The Ordinary are free of parabens, sulphates, mineral oil, methylchloroisothiazolinone, methylisothiazolinone, animal oils, benzalkonium chloride, coal tar dyes, formaldehyde, mercury, oxybenzone, and are all cruelty-free.
I bought four products from this brand and here is a small review on each of them.
The Advanced Retinoid 2% is the most expensive product I purchased at only £8 ( bargain) which main uses are fixing texture irregularities and signs of ageing, I use this practically every night before face oil, don’t put this on in the day and make sure you use sun cream on a daily basis ( which you should be doing anyway ) I’ve been using it regularly for about 2 month’s and have definitely seen an improvement with my pigmentation and smoothness of my skin, I’m only 20 so I can’t tell if it would reverse signs of ageing but it’s all about preventing in your 20s.
Next is the Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 it cost £5.90 so a complete bargain and main uses are hydration and repair and you can apply it at night or during the day but I personally use it in the morning, it really does plump up your skin, making it glow and feel deeply moisturised.
The third is the Lactic Acid 10% + HA 2% £5.80 mainly used for uneven skin tone, texture irregularities and fine lines. Now I don’t know about the fine lines because I don’t have them yet and won’t have them for a long time ( touch wood ) but I use this once or twice a week at night and I really think it helps my spot scarring and chemically exfoliating the dead skin on my face, it is the strongest formula I use so I wouldn’t recommend using it every day but you could try the Lactic Acid 5% if it is too strong.
Last and the most disappointing product is the Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% £5 This Is supposed to regulate sebum and minimise pores I found this on had some sort of purging process that made me break out but to be honest I haven’t tried this out as much as the others so I can’t give you a thorough review.
All of these products are vegan and can be purchased on their website. If you buy 35 pounds worth of product you can get free shipping and I received my products within a week ( I live in England and they ship worldwide)
HIGHLY recommend buying some of The Ordinary skincare products and please tell me in the comments what you think about this brand also I’m thinking about doing a more thorough review on the products I mentioned tell me if you are interested
Disclaimer: Please note that these are all my own opinions and I did not receive anything in the form of payment or free products from The Ordinary skincare company. I bought all the products myself.
