Create a Cosy Corner

It’s that time of year again where the weather gets a little chilly and the days are getting shorter. Soon it will be time to light the fire. Ooh its a nice cosy season with all the furry fabrics and soft furnishings. Time to get out the candles and furry slippers. Love it! I personally adore this time of year where my house transitions from a summery cool to a cosy sanctuary of warmth! So much fun shopping for plush textiles and warm colours as we move with the seasons towards those rich colours and darker tones. I have been scouring the shops to find the perfect items for you to create your cosy corner at home. Or if you are like me, your cosy living space and bedroom. I do go all-out since I love playing around with textiles and trinkets, especially scented candles! It doesn’t have to cost the earth either, there are so many bargains to be had and a huge selection so hopefully I can inspire you with a few ideas and you can recreate them at home. I have a lot of teas left from last year so I didn’t go crazy spending. The best thing about seasonal trends is that they usually come back into fashion. So I have found some classics that you can rely on as trusty favourites for years to come, as I do. Here goes…

I love to create an ambience with lighting for a warm and cosy feel once the evenings get longer.
These mini jar decorative hanging lights set an nice atmosphere for your snug den. Think about placing them along the back of your seating area. They look great strung along a mantle piece or chimney breast. Even above your bed or ceiling they help set the tone for a warm winters night. A lovely warm glow. Twinkly!

Love, love, love, LOVE! I think creating a cozy space is a great idea and I’ve been thinking about creating one in my office area. I think you’ve got some great ideas…so much so, that I want to read in YOUR corner instead to save me the time and trouble of setting one up! LOL!

Thank you for curating such a wonderful collection. I think my favorite is the H&M blanket. I love the fur baubles! And what a great way to carve out your own space. We are renting a furnished apartment I want to add little things to personalize it. I especially love a cozy couch blanket.

This is the second or third post I’ve read today that featured scented candles and it reminded me again that I am running out. 🙂

Most of the time, that’s all I need to make my space cosy, scented candles! I have yet to find a comfy pillow though. Will be on the lookout for that.

    Thanks for the tips!
