Indulge Me October Box Spoiler!

Hello Ladies!

Back again with my fave spoilers for the Lookfantastic subscription box that I hold so dear to my heart! This is literally the most exciting thing I blog about. Sad, I know but this is my little inner child coming out to play every time I receive my awesome pressie, woohoo! Ah its like Christmas this time haha. Oops I know I’m not supposed to mention that word in October but hey, last month felt like my Birthday when my lovely Birthday Edit gift box arrived and that was early September. Anyhoo, that was ages ago and actually now it’s feeling a bit winterish here so I’m feeling a bit under the weather with a cold and this fab gift box arrived just in time to cheer me up! Let me indulge you with the contents as I spill the beans on the wonderful selection that is in this months Indulge Me box. Ooooh its pure indulgence!! I present to you the fabulous and long-awaited “Indulge Me” October box!

Speaking of spilling the beans, the first product that grabbed my attention was the lovely packaged Bean Body Coffee Scrub. I happen to use a really nice natural scrub that sounds very similar to this one actually so I was chuffed to find this one in the Indulge Me box of goodies. The one I buy has to be shipped from New Zealand haha. High maintenance moi, eh? So I was intrigued by this as it may very well replace my other, rather expensive one from NZ. It’s made with coconut oil, vitamin E and sea salt so nearly the same ingredients and is paraben and cruelty free. This is a little ritual that I love to pamper myself with once a week if I have time. It is absolutely brilliant for moisturising and cleansing your body. The best way to apply it, from experience, is to hop in the shower or bath and run the water over yourself, then step out or turn off the shower. Apply it while standing over a towel, as it can get a little messy (as in bits of scrub everywhere) by massaging it in circles all over. Then leave that to work its magic while you do something else, like put on a face pack or whatever you can do to pass a few minutes. You could file your nails or paint your toes, whatever. Once thats on for at least a few minutes for the oils to work on your skin etc, just hop back in the shower/bath and rinse it off gently. I adore this pamper session as the result is beautifully soft and gorgeous smelling skin all over! Plus you feel like you’ve been to the spa. Lovely and refreshing and altogether pamperish! Hand Mask Pampering

 

Next thing that stood out with its shiny green packaging was the Skimono Intense Nourishment Hand Mask. Asian cult product of the moment are beauty masks that come in a packet and cover your face. These are those for your hands. I tried one of those Korean beauty leave-on masks before, which is an actual mask that covers your face with openings for your eyes and nose but to be honest I hated the feel of it. It did genuinely work though so I would be tempted to buy again for the sake of it. If I have a big event ( I wish haha – one can dream ) or night out ( possible ) coming up, I’ll reconsider a purchase. Enough about that, I was really interested in this product since my hands are really in need of some TLC. This time of year my skin goes very dry and this is a welcome treat for me. More indulgent pampering to enjoy! Im trying this tonight when my babies are asleep. I will chill out at home with a nice scented candle watching my fave show on tv. Ah lovely. I can’t wait. Will report back how my hands are feeling tomorrow. *Hiya, just reporting back on this now, my hands are soft and smooth as I type this! A pampered thumbs up from me 🙂

 

 

Next thing to catch my eye was the Lancer The Method Polish. So this one has been getting a lot of positive feedback in the media so far. Apparently, it’s used by a bunch of celebrities including Kim Kardashian and Victoria Beckham. I was so excited to try this since I haven’t got a good polish at the moment. I have an exfoliating scrub but this is just a bit more microdermabrasion type scrub. More of a polish basically. It claims to resurface your skin, evening out its tone. Pumpkin and pomegranate enzymes and pure minerals leave your skin renewed and glowing apparently! Anyways, I tried this immediately the night I received the box but I think I didn’t apply it properly as I cleansed my face then patted it dry. I reckon its best to leave the water on your skin before applying it. My skin is very sensitive and didn’t react so well to whichever new products I used ( this was including using the facial oil from the box ) so I will try this again tonight and report back. I only want to use something like this once a week due to it being a polish so I’m going to use it on its own after my facial cleansing and not use anything on top, to see exactly how it works on its own. Obviously you need a moisturiser after using a polish but I want to make sure my skin isn’t reacting to any of the ingredients before I continue use. To be honest, having sensitive skin often makes me react to new products so it could be the facial oil that caused the reaction. I’ll report back tomorrow as to how my skin is after the polish tonight. Ok so I used the polish again last night without anything else and today I have had no breakouts or any reactions to it at all. In fact my skin feels more toned, smoother and the pores are less noticeable. I will be continuing with this one so all good here! *Note – I’m on day 3 of using this now and I’m happy with my results so far!!

 

The Monu Skin Firming Fiji Facial Oil was something that really appealed to me. I love facial oils and recently started using them regularly. I had always shied away from oils for my skin due to having combination skin and an oily t-zone. However, according to dermatologists, oily skin is in need of oil and therefore produces more oil to counteract the deficiency. Makes sense! I began using an oil cleanser and really noticed the benefits so moved on to facial oils. I always opt for a natural facial oil due to having sensitive skin so I tried this one after the Lancer polish when it arrived, that night. I massaged it in using upwards motions after warming it in the palm of my hands, as it suggests on the bottle. I love massaging my face with an oil, it feels fantastic and apparently its wonderful for your skin, the muscles and lymphatic drainage. It is paraben free so thats a good point. It has patchouli and bois de rose so it smells lovely. I did, as I mentioned before have a reaction to one of the products, so I will report back on which one caused this. Ok so I used this yesterday on its own with nothing else to see how my skin reacted. It was fine until later on in the evening, I noticed a couple of small blemishes. I do indeed have sensitive skin which it says it is ok for, however, its a new product so I’m prone to have a reaction with a new one. I decided not to continue with this as a facial oil as I don’t really need it. I did, on the other hand put it in my hair as a hair oil before shampoo. It has some great quality oils in there including apricot kernel oil so it won’t go to waste! Smells gorgeous by the way! I think it’ll be nourishing for my split ends at least. Don’t be afraid to try this for yourself, as it may be different for you, depending on your skin type.

I do love this Indulge Me box so much, yay!!! I was so happy to see this Ciaté Wonderwand Mascara! It’s a shiny silver pretty little mini mascara with stars on it. So cute. I had a look at the brush and was delighted to see an old school bristle brush but with a curve in it. Never used one like this before and always wanted to try one. I always end up with the new style rubbery mascara wands. The last couple I have bought were a bit disappointing as they were very messy and often too loaded with product so I was keen to try the brush. I was going out for lunch the next day so I tried it and Oh my Gosh! The dramatic increase in length and volume is like nothing I have had before in a mascara. The results were immediate, just a couple of flicks and I was good to go! Lookfantastic have done it again and given me a new fave product which I will be sticking with!!! 😉 It is paraben free and lasts all day. Try not to rub your eyes though as it flakes a bit if you do that. I’d rather a few flakes than panda eyes anyway so not a deal-breaker in any way.

 

Last but most definitely not least, my friends, I introduce you to the legendary Instant Radiance Concealer by Model Co. This is a game changer. I’ll get right to the point and say that this concealer has converted me to use an undereye concealer. I have never, up to this point found one that’s any good. All the previous ones I tried were either too caked or runny and make me look older. This one, on the other hand, makes me look like a younger, prettier version of myself! It is one amazing and legendary magic wand. It is so smooth and perfect that you wouldn’t even know it was there! I look awake and alert now. Before I looked like some lethargic zombie. Now I look like I’m going to a job interview while on the school run. Im sure  a few people had a double take at me. I normally look like a ragged bag lady when dropping off my toddler. This one is a keeper. Hang on, I just read a scary prospect that this is exclusive to this box!!!! Oh my God, I need a lifetime supply of this. Has anyone else tried this? Take me to your dealer….
