Who doesn’t love a great beauty bargain? I mean some may be put off by cheaper range products as they think they can’t be as good quality but that is simply not the case! There are lots of brilliant inexpensive beauty products to discover on the market and I have made a list of the best. I love finding these fab products and my days of spending a fortune on expensive brands are over. I have tried and tested so many expensive item over the years and I have had more luck by spending less actually!
Here is a list of my current faves –
1. Catrice HD liquid coverage foundation by Primark/Penney’s. This foundation is my newfound fave full coverage and stay-in-place everyday makeup. I used to wear Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation for the full coverage and hadn’t managed to find a cheaper alternative for years. When I first tried this I was amazed at the ease of application, flawless coverage and staying power. I have oily skin so it works perfectly and during the colder months I don’t even need a powder to set it. It glides on and then sets to a matte finish. Best of all it doesn’t budge all day. Delighted to find this one as it only costs a fraction of the Double Wear one but works just as well! Only €7 in comparison to €45 is an absolute bargain! Love it.
Rimmel Contour Sculptor by Kate Moss. I have been using this for over a year now and I wear it nearly every day. There is still loads left and it is lasting really well. It’s a perfect colour combo for the subtle and glowing contour and highlight. I love that it is easy to apply with an angle brush. I use one brush and start with the subtle highlighter on the cheekbones, down the nose and tip of the chin. I then use the bronzer to contour the hollow of the cheeks, along the top of my forehead, down the sides of my face and along the chin edges and neck with a light dusting. The peachy pink blush goes just above the cheek contour on the apples of my cheeks and voila! The whole thing takes around 30 seconds. It really gives a great glow and contour. It cost me around €11 in Boots chemist. They often do deals there so worth keeping an eye out.
Revlon Colourburst Matte balm. This is a top quality lipstick crayon with precision, vibrant colour and great staying power. I got one matte and one with a sheen. I prefer the matte and it has a beautiful texture which is easy to apply and this colour is fab for a night out. You can apply a balm on top to make it shiny or else a gloss if you prefer that look. It cost me €5 on sale.
Caviar Illumination Day and Night Moisturiser and Serum Kit. I had heard about this range and read online that the moisturizer has all the same ingredients as the cult beauty cream Creme de la Mer. Due to the latter costing a hefty €200 plus, I decided it was worth trying the significantly cheaper day and night duo for a mere €20 in Aldi. My mum gave me a present of the serum kit from the same range and it worked wonders!
The serum kit is supposed to be used for a week and it is aimed at reducing wrinkles. To be honest the vials last way longer than that and I got at least a month or more out of thr kit. This stuff genuinely worked and it is the best serum I have used. The appearance of my skin was much improved and I noticed less wrinkles within a week! My mum told me there was always a scramble for these items when they arrive in the shop. They only come out every 6 week so you have to get in quick! I was so impressed I decided to go for the set when I noticed it in Aldi. So far I have not found a better moisturiser and I have tried a few in between but always come back to it. I will grab the serum kit with both hands when it’s comes back on sale. My moisturizers are lasting well as I have been using them for 6 months already and still have some left. Luxurious texture and pretty packaging, they look great on the bathroom shelf. Absolute beauty must-have items for €20!
Magnif’eyes’ Eye Contour palette by Rimmel. Colour 001 Keep Calm and Wear Gold. These colours can be worn daytime or night. They are rich, well pigmented and long lasting. Great quality and brilliant value. Crease proof formula and can be used wet for extra definition. You can achieve various different eye looks can shapes with this contour palette. A fantastic all-rounder and cheap as chips!
Natural White Activated Charcoal Toothpaste Beverly Hills Formula. This charcoal toothpaste is €2 and works better than any standard toothpaste. It removes stains and whitens after the first use. I’m sticking with this one for sure!
Rimmel 60 seconds shine nail varnish in Ethereal. This is my favourite nail varnish by far. Easy to apply with a great brush and quickly does it. Dries in a minute and looks amazing! The colour is perfect and it doesn’t chip much. Even if it does you hardly notice due to the colour. Only needs one coat and it costs €4.50. No need for a top coat.
Rimmel Stay Matte powder. I love this powder as it is perfect for my oily combination skin. Works a dream, goes on smoothly and is not chalky or drying. Flawless finish every time.
Cien Nail Oil. This nail oil has apricot kernel oil and really nourishes and strengthens nails. I use it after buffing and shining and have noticed the improvement since using this. It cost €2 in Aldi.
So those are the favorites that I use the time. Obviously you don’t have to spend a fortune and in some cases, like mine, I find the cheaper product be even better. I do have some expensive items in my beauty regime aswell as mid priced but I love my brilliant beauty bargains the best! The money I save helps me treat myself on other things so I thought I would spread the word on these great products. Hope you love them as much as I do!
Do Let me know if you try any of them out!
Cheers x
