Hi Beauties,
I bought some new natural beauty products to try in 2018. We have been living in New Zealand for the last 3 months and I have to say, the natural skin care market over here is huge! They are big into natural skin care so I am in my element with so many choices.
I am an Independent consultant for Neal’s Yard Remedies Organic and I have my own online shop. I love Neal’s Yard but I have ran out of my travel supply. I bought the gorgeous travel kit for going away and it was amazing, by the way! Check it out here. However, I ran out of a few essentials and decided to give a few New Zealand natural brands a try. I have my trusty favorite products but I love trying new brands when I get a chance.

This is the travel kit which comes with a gorgeous organic cotton cosmetic bag which is perfect for traveling. The products are ideal as they all come in handy and smell divine. A great pick-me-up for a tired face. The hand sanitizer is great to have on hand for the plane ( I have heard horror stories about germs on planes! ) and it is all natural so no worries regarding chemicals on your precious skin! The natural organic facial wipes are non-drying and chem-free so handy for traveling. Geranium and orange is my fave smell, which I’m always raving about on my blog so perfect and a little goes a long way. The white tea facial mist is really refreshing and the ideal size for popping in your bag. A great way to revive and cool down after a long trip or on a hot day. Last but not least is the famous award-winning Wild Rose Beauty Balm. It is a fantastic all-rounder and a welcome addition to any skin care lover.
A new brand that caught my eye was a very affordable range by Essano. I know rosehip oil is beneficial to my skin and aloe vera too. They have a rosehip range with aloe vera that includes an exfoliator with rosehip seed bits for gentle buffing of the skin. They have a cleanser, a moisturizer and rosehip oil.
Their promise is only the essence of nature with –
No parabens
No sulphates
No silicones
No exthoxylates
No PEG’s or PPG’s
No mineral oils
No GMO’s
No animal testing
I bought the rosehip oil cleanser and it is working brilliantly. The soap-free formulation has active natural botanicals and certified organic rosehip oil. It is a wonderful cleanser that removes all traces of makeup easily and leaves the skin feeling squeaky clean and really refreshed. It comes in a gorgeous black recyclable plastic easy to use pump. It is so nice looking and functional that I will keep it and use it for my own DIY skincare creations afterwards so no wastage there!
I really like their ethics and I only promote ethical brands so here is a bit from their website –
We carefully select each and every ingredient we include and reject any harsh chemical that could irritate, contaminate or be unsafe for our consumers. We choose plant based, natural ingredients, proven for their effectiveness and ability to deliver amazing results. It’s also important to us to be good global citizens, behaving in an ethical, socially responsible way. We control our entire manufacturing process from “plants to products” so have the ability to monitor every step of a product’s development. We believe so strongly in all these values that we made it a promise and put it on the front of all of our packaging, nice!
I especially love rosehip oil due to its high level of antioxidants which fight free-radical damage caused by toxins that enter the body through environmental factors such as pollution. Lack of antioxidants cause premature aging skin, wrinkles, sagging and even skin cancer! Rosehip oil is the most potent in antioxidants than any other oils. Rosehip oil reduces the appearance of scars, stretch marks and blemishes. It helps stimulates elastin and supports micro-cellular renewal. Soothes dry skin and regulates oil production so suitable for all skin types. The cleanser has aloe vera added which is another favorite of mine.
Here is the cleanser and I am going to purchase the exfoliator (with crushed rosehip seeds) and pure rosehip oil. I’m so impressed with it so far. My skin is clearer and more balanced with an even tone. Looking good!
The next exciting new natural beauty product to try in 2018 is Pure Wild Manuka honey and Rata face moisturizer SPF 30+. I was recommended this by a friend and it is natural fragrance 100% certified natural by Ecocert. I am a huge Manuka fan as you probably know if you checked out my recent post on Manuka honey so I was keen to try some of the extensive range here in NZ. I needed a good facial sunscreen of course, doesn’t everyone? I should hope so anyway!
It is really hard to find good facial sunscreen so when I was recommended this, I was pleased to hear it has Manuka and Rata honey in it. I have to say it is working well as a moisturizer and sunscreen in one. I love 2 in 1 products since they save me time and money so a big thumbs up to this one!
I decided to try out the Manuka honey and Rata lip balm SPF15 too which is very moisturizing and nourishing. Good to know my lips are protected from the sun too. It is a nice applicator which is different than my usual stick balm so that is good for me at the moment because mine keep melting in the sun. Phew it is hot here! Not complaining 😉
If you haven’t tried it or heard about it yet, I highly recommend my trusty favorite Frankincense Intense Lift Serum. It is a bit more expensive but worth every penny and lasts. It is basically the holy grail of skin saviors!
So those are my pick of natural beauty products to try in 2018 and I hope you like them as much as I do.
