Date Night Makeup Ideas To Try

By Life With Mrs T

Thinking about Valentines got me thinking about going on a date and what makeup I would wear going on a date with Mr T; we sometimes get the chance to go on a date and I always make sure that I put my best face on to celebrate the few hours of freedom we have together. In true Mrs T fashion I have picked three unique looks that I would be happy to wear out while myself my husband reminds me how lucky I am to have such a great partner in mischief.

For every look I have done my eyebrows with the Freedom Brow Pomade in Ash Brown; you can see how I do my eyebrows in this post.

I primed my eyelids with the Essence 2 in 1 eyeshadow and primerand then set the primer with Babyface eyeshadow by Makeup Geek.

Neutral cut crease and bold, red lip.

I think if you are going to make a statement then a cut crease is a good choice; they can be dramatic or understated but they add such an interesting dimension to the eye and emphasises your eyes natural shape. I have chosen a neutral cut crease with shimmery golden lid shade and paired it up with a bold red lipstick, perfect for any femme fatale and reminds me of Mia Wallace from Pulp Fiction.

To deepen the crease – Awaken from the Mint Chocolate bar palette from Makeup Revolution

I cut the crease using the Phwaor Paint from Seventeen using an angled brush

Lid shade – Martini from the Sleek Snapshots palette

Lipstick – Unicorn Blood by Jeffree Star

Smoky green gradient with a rose lip

I wore this look out on a date with Mr T for my birthday, we went to Manchester to do lots of Primark shopping and eat too much food from Almost Famous, it was the best birthday. I decided I wanted to try out the Makeup Revolution Your Sign Water palette and wanted to do a smoky green gradient look. This particular palette is dominated by shimmer shades, so I used the Mint Chocolate Bar palette to provide the matte shades needed for this look.

Pink half cut crease with a Mauve Lip

Being immersed in the deep, dark depths of winter I have not used pink eyeshadow for quite a while. I tend to wear more pink toned shades in the spring and summer but this post has prompted me to create a look that I love and will recreate many times over the year.

I have raved about the Modern Renaissance palette numerous times here at Life with Mrs T as it is such a great all round palette that blends like a dream. I adore the shade Love Letter and it persuaded me to buy the palette; I coupled it with shade from the Flawless 4 palette by Makeup Revolution (a cheaper alternative) and used the shade Barbie from the Rose Gold Chocolate bar palette which is the most gorgeous and shiny duo chrome pink/gold I have ever seen.

I chose to match this with quite a strong mauve lip, some people might feel this is too bold but I love it (you could always go or a nude lip if you prefer)

Transition- Bon Fresco from the ABH Modern Renaissance palette

Crease- Love letter from the ABH Mod

Outer V – from the Rose Gold Chocolate bar palette & from the Flawless 4 palette both by Makeup Revolution

I then used concealer to cut the lid, the concealer I used was Phwaor paint by Seventeen
