Hi Guys,
I got a present for of this set for Christmas. It is an Award Winning Revlon products set and I’m only getting around to testing them now. I thought I would do a review on each of the products for you while I’m at it! It comes in a cute box which is compact, yet all the products are full size.
There is an exclusive shade of Revlon nail varnish included and it is called Creme Brulée. It is a lovely goldy fawn colour which I really like and looks well on my nails. It has a nice fluid consistency and glides on nicely. I have used a Revlon nail varnish in the past and was impressed. This is the same style of bottle and brush and I was equally impressed. The colour has a nice subtle glitter/shimmer and is very sophisticated. Perfect for a night out.
The Revlon Extra Volume mascara is in a slick easy to handle bottle which looks glam with a hot pink top. The applicator is a nice full bristle brush, which I prefer to the rubbery kind and it is buildable which I find easier to apply. It lengthens lashes and isn’t too full volume but can be built up so it can be used for both day/night looks. It didn’t clump on my lashes but the edge of the applicator gets clumps on it so need to be careful or just clean that off with a tissue before use. I find that with a lot of mascara so not a problem. I liked it and would recommend it.
Next item is the Revlon Colorstay Lipliner in Natural. The colour natural is not my colour unfortunately but it went on smoothly and was a lovely consistency. I have to say, it has great staying power for a lipliner. It is an award winner so I would be really keen to get this in a darker colour. I think this lipliner is one to recommend. I haven’t tried a better one interns of staying powder and the consistency is nice and creamy so easy to apply without dragging. The fact it is self-sharpening with the twist end is handy and I like the look it gave to my lip shape.
Finally, the award winning Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor in Seduction. I have to admit, I’m not a huge fan of lipgloss although this is a matte liquid lipstick, so it is quite comfortable. The packaging is really nice. It has a nice applicator and goes on easily without being sticky. The colour is very nude looking and probably more suitable for lighter skin tones. It didn’t feel tacky and it gave a nice full lip with a good colour and matte finish. If you like liquid lippy, you will love this. I would consider wearing it to a special occasion since it has great staying power and gives a polished look.
Although not mentioned, you may want to blot it with a tissue to finish.
