Curls Allowed Curly Hair Subscription Box Review (September Box)

curls-allowed-september-box

I was super excited to see my current fave beauty box arriving at the door this month! The Curls Allowed curly hair subscription box is a wonderfully curated box which contains fab curly girl products. I have an unruly mop of haphazard curls which require a serious amount of taming!

I have spent so much time and money over the years trying various random curly hair products but never had much luck. This is why i love the Curls Allowed subscription box. The products have been spot on so far and i use them every day. That is why i decided to go ahead and order another box. It arrived just in time for my holidays, yippee!

I am saved because i had run out of conditioner so this month i get a new conditioner AND a leave in conditioner. I was delighted as it was a complete surprise and i follow the Curly Girl method so it is difficult to find products that comply with that. Another reason to love this beauty box, they curate the boxes specifically for the Curly Girl method often so all the leg work is done for me. Huge thumbs up.

So what’s in this months Curls Allowed curly hair subscription box?

Contents of the Curls Allowed curly hair subscription box

1 Moogoo Natural Protein Shot Leave-in Conditioner 50g. This is a generous size sample and should last a while so I’m chuffed with it. I have heard of the range before and they are a well known Australian brand known for their lovely natural products. It is formulated for dry and frizzy hair so ideal for me as mine is a colossal mess in the mornings! It is especially handy as it is a leave-in conditioner so perfect for use on the go. It is a light cream with coconut, jojoba and olive oil which are all fab for hair nourishment and hydration. It helps prevent split ends and dryness. It really does smooth the hair without weighing it down and leaves it silky soft. Love it!

2 Giovanni 2Chic Avocado and Olive oil Ultra-moist Conditioner. I have heard of the brand before a few times on various curly hair blogs so i was keen to try it out. Again, I’m glad to test the sample out before buying the full size just in case. It is hard to find good conditioners. I love using avocado and also olive oil on my hair as masks so this is ideal. It contains a dual moisture complex and trademarked Eco Chic Technology. It’s rich in vitamins C, E, K and B6. All great antioxidants for healthy hair.

3 Big Sexy Hair Root Pump Volumising Mousse 50ml. One of the things my hair lacks is volume at the top. I am lucky to be blessed with thick hair but the crown of my head seems to always go flat. This is a common problem for people with thick hair as it often pulls the hair down with weight. That means you end up with plenty of volume at the base but often times it is limp at the crown. This is where hairspray pump comes in. You spray damp hair on the scalp to around the mid-length and plump. I was very sceptical about this product but it totally works! Delighted with the results, i am loving my voluminous hair right now!

4 Last but in no way least, the famous cult product, Boucléme gel 100ml. I was absolutely over the moon to receive this in the box. I have been hearing rave reviews online and dying to try it for ages! I even tried to buy it a few times but it was sold out. Unbelievably i had been wanting to sample it before buying since it is a bit more expensive so i was so so happy it was included. A very generous size sample indeed. Thank you Curls Allowed!!!

I literally cannot recommend the Curls Allowed curly hair subscription box enough! Hand over heart, i have never tried such well selected products for curly hair before. A fab idea, concept and genuinely helpful resource for any curly girls, or curly girl wannabes out there. If you are like me, you may have spent years straightening your unruly curls. I spent 20 years straightening my curls which i actually love now.

If you want to finally let your beautiful curls be natural and free then this is the way to go! Get a helping hand, instead of just winging it for years trying crap product after crap product with no results like I did, ugh. The Curls Allowed curly hair subscription box is a great way to trial the best products before buying. At only £14 a box for a subscription or £15 for a one-off box, it is fantastic value for money. If you follow the Curly Girl method then you can buy the one-off boxes each month they come up, which is really regularly.

Check it out here.

Good Luck!
